David first came to City Center Ballet in 2005 to perform. Since then he has become the creative creative mind and spirit of the company. He has created new repertoire works, set the full-length ballet Coppélia, and for April 2007 is setting The Sleeping Beauty. As a teacher, David is an inspiration, offering wonderfully dancey combinations that no matter the level of training feel good to the students. Whether teaching class or rehearsing, David is prepared, attentive and ready with humor to bring out the best.

David has been teaching my daughter advanced ballet and point work at the JCC for many years. During this time, I have had the privilege of attending his classes as an observer.
