For the past several years, David Fernandez has been a revered teacher at the JCC of Mid-Westchester Dance School. He has taught several disciplines of dance, including ballet and jazz dance, and has conducted lecture demonstrations for elementary-age school children.

David is a great asset to the JCC Dance School faculty. He is professional with his co-workers, his students and their parents. He has great patience in working with children and teens. His classes have just the right balance of proper technique, lyricism and artistry. When I have recommended David to several other dance professionals for performing and teaching opportunities, I have received the most positive feedback on his character, his reliability and talents.

David’s unique, positive teaching style is one that inspires me, and pushes me to work harder than I ever thought possible. It is clear that David has a love for the art form, a passion for helping students, and the experience to give his students the tools needed for a professional career. Working in the studio with David is a joy, both in a big class, or privately because his priority is what’s best for his students. David exerts such a contagious passionate attitude while teaching which enables hard, progressive work in his classes. I always look forward to working with David, because he brings out the best technician, student, and artist in me.

David is attentive, clear, articulate, and warm, as well as informed, naturally wise and efficient in his own demonstration. Every class is a joy! We have fun!
