The Raven

The Raven is a one-act classical ballet d'action based on the famous Edgar Allen Poe poem. At a studio performance in New York City in October, 2006 the leading roles were danced by three outstanding dancers: New York City Ballet principal dancer Charles

Coach and Choreographer, Youth American Grand Prix 2007
David’s student, Georgia Lathrop, was awarded First Prize in the Semi-Finals in Connecticut in March, advancing to the Final round. Following the competition Georgia was awarded a full scholarship to The Stuttgart Ballet.

Resident Choreographer, City Center Ballet, 2006-8
David is the resident choreographer at City Center Ballet in New Hampshire; in 2006 he choreographed the family ballet, Coppelia; in 2007 he presented his setting of The Sleeping Beauty; and Cinderella is planned for 2008. The cast of 40-plus dancers range from children as young as 6-years old to professional guest dancers from companies across the US

American Ballet Theatre Programs
"Make a Ballet" 2006; Teaching Artist 2007
As a Teaching Artist with the American Ballet Theatre's "Make a Ballet" program, David taught young students at Casita Maria community center in the Bronx the fundamentals of ballet technique and the creative process of choreographing. The program culminated with a student-choreographed performance at the Metropolitan Opera House in June, 2006. David continues to teach the fundamentals and history of ballet to Junior High and High School students through the American Ballet Theatre outreach program.
