Objects in Mirror are Closer Than They Appear is a contemporary ballet inspired by the work
of French choreographer Maurice Béjart, set to music by the Kronos Quartet. Objects deals with the theme of memory, and represents one man's journey as he confronts figures and events in his past. At a studio performance at The Ailey Citigroup Theater in Manhattan on October 21, 2007, some of the most talented dancers in the city came together to perform this work for the first time. My thanks to them, and to project's generous sponsors, for making Objects a reality. -- DF
